Job Description

Responsibilities

  • To assess the current preventive maintenance procedure, making recommendations to improvise the procedure and provide a report on findings to the management.
  • To make sure that all building services meet health and safety requirements and environmental legislation.
  • Arrange for routine inspection of pest control and follow-up of vendor service to make sure factory complies with industry standards and the vendor service meet our requirement as per the checklist.
  • Follow through the work done by the External Contractor and make sure work is in proper order and satisfactory and to report if anything is not in order.
  • To ensure maintenance for facilities system (e.g. HVAC, PWC, CDA, TNB & SAJ) is operating correctly & avoid any unscheduled breakdown as much as possible.
  • To carry out maintenance & inspection as per scheduled and ensure proper storage for punches & dies and punches & dies are always in good condition when required.
  • To ensure that preventive maintenance of all repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems are accomplished and properly conducted as per scheduled and that maintenance support are readily available as needed.
  • To perform facility inspections in a timely manner and report the condition affecting operations to management if any.
  • To suggest to management if any upgrades and changes that are needed to improve the building or facilities system.

Safety Coordinator

  • Ensure compliance with OSH Act, Factory & Machinery Act, Environmental Quality Act, BOMBA Act, and other relevant regulations.
  • Implement and monitor safety programs (manuals, audits, training, awareness).
  • Report and follow up on accidents, unsafe conditions, and incidents, including investigations and corrective actions.
  • Support inspections and audits by DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, and other authorities.
  • Liaise with JKKP and report safety matters to the Safety Committee, and report progress to Maintenance manager.

Competent Person & In-Charge of Scheduled Waste

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental laws and DOE requirements, including timely reporting.
  • Develop and implement scheduled waste management policies and procedures.
  • Oversee segregation, labeling, handling, storage, transportation, and disposal via licensed contractors.
  • Conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting systems for waste generation and disposal.
  • Provide training on waste handling, emergency response, and environmental awareness.
  • Promote waste minimization through reduction, reuse, and recycling initiatives.
  • Evaluate and adopt sustainable waste management practices.
  • Act as the main contact for DOE inspsections and environmental audits to support internal/external audits with documentation.
  • Handle other task that will be given time by time.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
