We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator to join our team in the scheduled waste management industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company standards, and safe operating practices.

• Operate, monitor, and control wastewater treatment plant equipment and processes to achieve required treatment performance and regulatory compliance.

• Conduct routine plant inspections and operational rounds to monitor process conditions, record operating data, and identify equipment or process abnormalities.

• Monitor and adjust key process parameters, including pH, COD, BOD, TSS, dissolved oxygen (DO), flow rates, and chemical dosing, to maintain optimal plant performance.

• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, perform basic corrective actions where appropriate, and promptly report abnormalities to the Plant Supervisor.

• Collect wastewater samples and perform or support laboratory testing and water quality analysis in accordance with established procedures.

• Maintain accurate operational logs, inspection records, maintenance reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and plant availability.

• Ensure the safe handling, storage, and use of treatment chemicals, tools, and equipment while maintaining good housekeeping and 5S standards.

• Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), environmental regulations, scheduled waste management requirements, and all Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies.

• Participate in emergency response activities, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and environmental performance.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Plant Supervisor or Management.

• Diploma, Certificate, or Technical qualification in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating a wastewater treatment plant is preferred.

• Experience in the scheduled waste management, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial wastewater treatment sector is an advantage.

• Knowledge of biological, chemical, and physical wastewater treatment processes.

• Familiarity with environmental regulations and wastewater discharge standards.

• Basic understanding of laboratory testing and water quality analysis.

• Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and respond to emergency call-outs when required.

• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.
