Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, consumables, and services required for our manufacturing and project operations. The successful candidate will ensure timely procurement, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and uninterrupted supply to support production and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and develop reliable local and overseas suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Project, Warehouse, QA/QC, and Finance departments to meet procurement requirements.
- Purchase steel materials, fabrication components, industrial equipment, tools, PPE, consumables, and subcontracted services.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Resolve issues relating to delivery delays, shortages, damaged goods, and supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the warehouse to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Support vendor registration, supplier audits, and annual supplier evaluations.
- Prepare procurement reports, purchasing analysis, and cost-saving initiatives for management.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, ISO requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel fabrication, engineering, or construction industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience purchasing steel materials, structural components, industrial equipment, or engineering consumables is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
