Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Penang, Malaysia. In this role, the engineer works directly with enterprise customers to design, implement, and deploy AI-powered solutions on the Teragrid platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and integrating back-end services, building data pipelines, and customizing agent workflows to meet client requirements. The engineer collaborates with product and AI teams to translate business needs into robust technical architectures, conducts testing and troubleshooting in production environments, and iterates on deployments based on user feedback. The role also involves documenting solutions, providing technical guidance to client stakeholders, and contributing to platform improvements informed by real-world use cases.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, services, and databases.
• Ability to work closely with customers, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with AI, data processing, or automation platforms is an advantage.
• Comfort with deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production systems.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
