The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end procurement function to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of direct materials, indirect materials, services, and capital expenditures (CAPEX) that support the Company's business and manufacturing operations. The role is accountable for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory planning with a strong focus on steel/metal coil procurement, driving cost optimization initiatives, and ensuring supply continuity.

Working closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Warehouse, QA/QC, Finance, and other key stakeholders, the Procurement Manager will drive operational excellence, mitigate supply chain risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices. This role also leads the procurement team, fosters continuous improvement, and is expected to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment while delivering sustainable value to the business.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement function, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of direct materials, indirect materials, services, and capital expenditures (CAPEX) in support of business operations.
• Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, production requirements, and supply chain resilience.
• Manage strategic sourcing activities for raw materials, particularly steel/metal coils, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, pricing, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
• Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, foreign exchange fluctuations, and supply chain risks to support informed purchasing decisions and business continuity.
• Oversee procurement planning, inventory management, and material replenishment to ensure uninterrupted production while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
• Manage coil inventory, utilization, and traceability by ensuring accurate control of material specifications, consumption, yield, and stock movements, while partnering with Warehouse to maintain proper storage and FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships through supplier qualification, performance evaluation, development initiatives, and resolution of quality, delivery, and commercial issues in collaboration with QA/QC and cross-functional teams.
• Drive procurement cost optimization through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, value engineering, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring procurement budgets and KPIs are achieved.
• Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contract administration, supplier performance, delivery follow-up, invoice discrepancy resolution, and compliance with procurement policies and approval authorities.
• Prepare and analyze procurement reports and key performance indicators, including cost savings, purchase price variance (PPV), supplier performance, inventory turnover, stock aging, and procurement spend analysis to support management decision-making.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical procurement standards, internal controls, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements while maintaining complete and accurate procurement documentation for audit purposes.
• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture, cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience in a managerial capacity.
• Experience in sourcing and procurement of steel, metal coils, or other industrial raw materials is preferred.
• Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and supply chain principles.
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and manufacturing best practices is an advantage.
• Strong resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to respond effectively to changing operational and supply chain demands.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in handling procurement activities and supplier engagements.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
