Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with client processes and procedures for Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM).
  • Develop, review, and improve Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation for maintenance activities.
  • Act as SME for equipment performance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and optimization.
  • Ensure critical systems meet availability, reliability, redundancy, and efficiency targets.
  • Monitor and maintain critical power, cooling, environmental, and support systems to achieve required uptime service levels.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on facility infrastructure and support systems.
  • Conduct daily inspections of critical equipment and identify potential risks or defects.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and maintain defect tracking records with corrective action plans.
  • Support incident response, mitigation activities, and preparation of RCA reports.
  • Ensure corrective maintenance work orders are completed on time and properly documented.
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance vendors to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, maintenance plans, and technical recommendations.
  • Plan manpower and resources to support maintenance activities and improvement projects.
  • Ensure all maintenance records, reports, and documentation are accurately maintained within CMMS and client systems.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering equipment performance, downtime, MTTR, MTBF, recurring issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, vendors, CMMS engineers, and site administration teams.
  • Enforce EHS requirements, HIRARC assessments, and safe work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, statutory requirements, OEM recommendations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate shutdown activities, major maintenance works, and system modifications.
  • Participate in weekend, public holiday, and after-hours activities when required.

Systems Covered

  • Chillers, cooling towers, pumps, buffer tanks, filtration systems, water distribution networks, and associated controls.
  • CRAH, CRAC, AHU, PAHU, dehumidification, ventilation, and related environmental control systems.
  • Medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems, transformers, switchgears, ATS, RMU, MSB, SSB, and DB.
  • UPS systems, batteries, generators, load bank testing, and critical power infrastructure.
  • Lightning protection, earthing systems, lighting systems, emergency lighting, and EV charging facilities.
  • Auxiliary infrastructure including valves, dampers, strainers, water systems, and other critical facility equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) experience in critical facilities, data centres, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems within mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with MEPF systems, industry terminology, equipment operation, and maintenance practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and priorities effectively.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a results-oriented environment.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to be on standby and respond to emergencies outside normal working hours.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Data Centre or Critical Facility Operations.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance management systems.
  • Experience leading vendors, contractors, and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with reliability-centred maintenance and continuous improvement practices.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
