Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing client requirements and carrying out feasibility studies to support project viability and commercial success.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, measurements, and detailed cost analysis for tender submissions and budgeting purposes.
  • Prepare tender documentation, contract documents, pricing schedules, cost summaries, and tender evaluation reports.
  • Support the sourcing and selection of construction materials that meet project specifications and cost objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on procurement methods and contract strategies to optimize project outcomes.
  • Monitor project costs, manage variations, and track budget performance throughout project execution.
  • Assess completed work, prepare progress claims, and administer Certificates of Payment (COP) in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist in subcontractor selection, scope definition, negotiations, appointment processes, and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Prepare progress reports, financial analyses, final account documentation, and project closeout reports.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health and safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Identify commercial risks and support the development of mitigation strategies to protect project profitability.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cost control, cost management, and financial monitoring within construction projects.
  • Experience in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documentation, and cost planning activities.
  • Strong capability in cost reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software, Microsoft Office applications, and other relevant industry tools.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in the interior design, fit-out, or construction industry will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM4,200.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
