What We Do At Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.
Make your impact
You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.
What You’ll Do
- Maintenance Planning & Execution: Manage day-to-day responsibilities ensuring all plant equipment in your area is in optimal operational condition. Plan and schedule TPM programs for machinery, facilities, and utilities onsite. Work closely with planners and production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting, major repairs, modifications, and equipment upgrades. Collaborate with engineers and technicians across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and instrumentation disciplines to develop and implement maintenance programs.
- SHE & Compliance: Implement and enforce the Company SHE Policy, ensuring all employees and contractors adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, and routine site inspections. Communicate SHE matters regularly and drive behavioral and cultural safety improvements.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, PM schedule adherence, and OEE. Analyze breakdowns to prevent repeated failures and maintain accurate data in SAP PM. Enhance SAP system usage for scheduling, notifications, and reporting.
- Contractor & Resource Management: Ensure contractor management procedures are followed and resources (maintenance executives, technical craftsmen, contract workers) are effectively utilized for reactive and proactive maintenance activities.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected; primarily onsite presence to support plant operations.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
