Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Software Engineer role based in Permatang Pauh, with flexibility for some work from home. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and software applications that support products for clients in various industries. Responsibilities include implementing clean, efficient, and scalable code, collaborating with product owners and designers to refine requirements, and integrating APIs and third-party services. The role involves participating in code reviews, improving system performance and reliability, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. The Software Engineer will also help troubleshoot production issues, suggest technical improvements, and support rapid iterations for MVPs and evolving products.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-quality applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application in modern codebases.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD tools is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
