Responsibilities
Job Overview:
Responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, programmes and management systems.
The position supports compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements, customer requirements and relevant international EHS standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Provide timely EHS technical support to plant operations in areas including regulatory compliance, compliance reporting, environmental monitoring and testing, EHS data management, incident follow-up and communication with regulatory authorities.
2. Conduct regular workplace inspections and internal audits to assess compliance with applicable legal requirements, company procedures and international standards related to Environmental, Health and Safety.
3. Coordinate and support inspections and audits conducted by local authorities, certification bodies and customers, and follow up on identified findings until closure.
4. Develop, coordinate and deliver EHS training, education and awareness programmes in support of the company’s EHS policies and objectives.
5. Monitor applicable and emerging EHS regulatory requirements and support the implementation of necessary compliance actions.
6. Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, licenses and regulatory submissions to ensure they are accurate and submitted within the required timelines.
7. Coordinate and support Emergency Response Team (ERT) programmes, including emergency drills, training and emergency preparedness activities.
8. Participate in incident investigations, root-cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
9. Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) EHS requirements.
10. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management from time to time.
Qualification & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Safety and Health, Engineering, Science or another relevant discipline.
2. One to three years of relevant working experience in Environmental, Health and Safety. Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
3. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience, practical exposure or recognised EHS qualifications may also be considered.
4. Basic knowledge of Malaysian EHS legal and regulatory requirements.
5. Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) EHS requirements will be an added advantage.
Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
