Role Description This full-time Test Development Engineer role is an on-site position based in Bayan Lepas. The Test Development Engineer designs, develops, and maintains test solutions for semiconductor products, ensuring product performance, reliability, and quality. Daily activities include creating test plans, implementing and optimizing test programs, performing software and hardware debugging, and analyzing test data to improve coverage and yield. The role collaborates closely with design, product, and manufacturing teams to integrate test solutions into the production flow, support qualification activities, and resolve test-related issues. The engineer also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, including test automation, standardization of test methods, and adoption of best practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Development and Testing, including experience creating and validating test plans, procedures, and test coverage for semiconductor or electronic systems.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Software Testing and Test Automation, such as developing automated test scripts, using test frameworks, and integrating automated tests into continuous improvement or production environments.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Software Development related to test systems, including proficiency in programming languages commonly used for test platforms (e.g., C/C++, Python, or similar) and version control tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with semiconductor test equipment, measurement instruments, and data analysis tools is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on product quality and reliability.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, reliability testing, or production test flows is an advantage.
