Lead and oversee the Planning & Development, Project Management, and Business Development functions, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of departmental objectives.
Provide strategic and operational leadership across the property development value chain, from feasibility, planning, design, approvals and construction through to project completion.
Formulate and implement departmental strategies, objectives, KPIs, work plans, and budgets in alignment with the Company's corporate goals.
Lead and monitor multiple development projects to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, cost effectiveness, and compliance with approved project objectives.
Oversee project feasibility studies, development planning, project costing, market assessment, and development strategies to support informed investment and business decisions.
Monitor project performance, including cost, quality, progress, risks, and key project milestones, and take appropriate action to address issues and potential delays.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to departmental teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative working environment.
Manage and coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
Prepare and present management reports, project updates, feasibility assessments, business proposals, and strategic recommendations to Senior Management and EXCO.
Provide strategic input on new development opportunities, property market trends, development potential, and business growth initiatives.
Monitor market conditions, development trends, construction costs, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks affecting the Company's projects and business strategies.
Support the optimisation of project costs, development returns, and overall project performance while maintaining the required quality and development objectives.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
Provide technical and project-related support to the Property Management Department and other departments where required.
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, systems, and departmental performance.
Undertake other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil & Structural Engineering, Housing, Building & Planning, Town Planning, or other relevant disciplines.
Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in property development, with strong exposure to landed residential development.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior management or leadership position within the property developer.
Proven track record in managing property development projects from feasibility and conceptualisation through planning, approvals, construction, and project completion.
Strong experience in feasibility studies, development planning, project management, project costing, and property market assessment.
Strong understanding of the property development lifecycle, relevant statutory requirements, project economics, construction processes, and market trends.
Commercially astute with strong knowledge of development costing, project feasibility, market trends, and investment considerations.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop, and align multi-disciplinary and multi-level teams towards common business and project objectives.
Resourceful, proactive, results-oriented, and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced property development environment.
Strong presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management and EXCO.
