Location: KVTP (Kuala Lumpur) OR Johor Bahru KTP, Malaysia
Salary Range: USD $3,000 – $5,000 / month (Commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Development & Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and onboard top-tier suppliers for M&E equipment, prefabricated modular components, and engineering services to build a robust qualified vendor pool.
- End-to-End Tendering & Bidding: Lead the entire procurement lifecycle—prepare RFP/RFQ documents, organize bidding, drive technical & commercial negotiations, and facilitate award approvals.
- Due Diligence & Site Audits: Conduct thorough supplier audits, quality/capacity assessments, and field visits to ensure compliance and execution capabilities.
- Order Execution & Project Coordination: Manage contract fulfillment, streamline technical interfaces between engineers and vendors, monitor lead times, and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations, maintain key vendor relationships, and continuously drive cost-reduction and quality improvements.
- Process Standardization: Maintain complete procurement/bidding documentation and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sourcing management.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in supplier development, procurement, or tendering/bidding. Industry experience in M&E engineering, Data Centers, or Prefabricated Modular/Container solutions is highly preferred.
- Core Skills: Solid track record in bidding processes, market pricing inquiry, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiation.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with strong professional writing and verbal communication skills (able to handle international business documents and negotiations independently).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with high/low-voltage electrical systems, HVAC/cooling systems, data center infrastructure, or modular prefab components is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation tactics, strong cost consciousness, excellent interpersonal skills, and the flexibility to work across regional teams.
