Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Electrical Engineer role based in Pasir Gudang. The Senior Electrical Engineer oversees the design, development, and review of electrical systems and components, with a focus on low voltage switchgear, cable support systems, and related equipment used in oil and gas and industrial applications. The role involves preparing detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and calculations; ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications; and coordinating with mechanical, HVAC, and process engineering teams. The Senior Electrical Engineer supports project planning, estimates, and technical documentation, provides guidance to junior engineers and designers, and participates in factory acceptance tests, site inspections, and commissioning activities. The role also includes troubleshooting electrical issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, protection, control systems, and low voltage switchgear design.
• Experience with industrial and O&G applications such as HVAC systems integration, cable support systems, and electrical interfaces for process equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms, electrical calculation tools, and relevant modeling software).
• Working knowledge of applicable international and local electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC) and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers or designers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in complex industrial environments.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation, client interaction, and internal reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience in oil and gas, chemical refinery, or heavy industrial projects; familiarity with Pasir Gudang industrial ecosystem is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Pasir
