Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Lorry Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to customers, ports, warehouses, and designated locations. The role includes ensuring vehicle safety, maintaining delivery records, complying with road transport regulations, and providing excellent service while representing the company professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company lorries to transport goods according to assigned schedules.
Ensure deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time.
Verify cargo against delivery orders, invoices, or transport documents before loading and unloading.
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after each trip, including checking fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, and other essential components.
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements immediately.
Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle.
Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
Obtain customer signatures and ensure all delivery documents are completed accurately and returned promptly.
Assist in loading and unloading goods when required.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, toll receipts, and other transport-related documentation.
Follow delivery routes and schedules efficiently while minimizing delays.
Communicate with the Operations Department regarding delivery status, delays, or any operational issues.
Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent loss or damage.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
Must possess a valid passport and legal work authorization .
Possess a valid Class E Full Driving Licence (or licence appropriate for the vehicle operated).
Minimum 2 years of lorry driving experience.
Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.
Familiar with local roads, highways, industrial areas, ports, and delivery routes.
Able to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and outstation when required.
Physically fit and able to lift and move goods when necessary.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
