Job Summary
The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth production operations. This role supports production efficiency, safety, and quality by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring machines operate within specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Support equipment setup, installation, calibration, and commissioning.
- Monitor machine performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Respond promptly to equipment alarms and production issues.
- Record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives (OEE, 5S, TPM, Lean, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
- Support new equipment introduction and process changes.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in work areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with automated or semi-automated equipment is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, or on-call when required.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
