Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Raw Material Purchaser role based in Tanjung Langsat. The Raw Material Purchaser is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials required for superalloy production, ensuring availability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and preparing purchase orders in line with company policies. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, tracking order status, coordinating deliveries with warehouse and production teams, and resolving any discrepancies with quantity, quality, or documentation. The Raw Material Purchaser will also maintain accurate purchasing records, support periodic supplier performance reviews, and collaborate with quality, finance, and operations to meet production schedules and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain for industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably metals or superalloys.
• Ability to analyze pricing, lead times, and contractual terms, with strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in using ERP or purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools to manage orders and inventory.
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing specifications, contracts, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with suppliers, production, quality, and finance teams.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple purchasing requests and meet tight production timelines.
• Understanding of basic quality requirements and safety standards related to raw materials in a manufacturing setting.
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Ability to work on-site in Tanjung Langsat and adapt to a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
