Job Summary:

We're looking for a Commis I to join our Kitchen team and support the daily food preparation and kitchen operations. The role will assist the chefs with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensure food is prepared according to the hotel’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to the hotel’s standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organisation of the work area.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Assist with receiving, storing and checking food items.
• Help to minimise food wastage and maintain proper stock handling.
• Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and in good condition.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Chef.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in a hotel.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Able to work well as part of a kitchen team.
• Willing to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
• Able to work well under pressure during busy periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
