About the role

The NPI Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing new product introduction activities from customer requirements through product qualification and successful transfer to mass production. The role involves leading a team and ensuring that new products are manufacturable, meet customer specifications, achieve required quality and performance, and are launched on time.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute new product introduction activities from customer requirements through product qualification and successful transfer to mass production

• Lead a team to ensure new products are manufacturable and meet customer specifications

• Ensure new products achieve required quality and performance standards and are launched on time

• Design, develop, fabricate, validate, and improve molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling used in manufacturing

• Design carrier tape, conduct fitting analysis, and design punches and other production tooling

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for tooling and production components

• Maintain and control tooling drawings, specifications, BOMs, and revision history
