About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to join Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd. This is a crucial position that plays a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects in Penang. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, maintaining safety standards, managing workforce productivity, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering high-quality construction services and maintaining our reputation as a leading construction company in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out according to project specifications, drawings and safety regulations

• Monitor workforce performance and productivity, ensuring team members adhere to allocated tasks and maintain quality standards

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment

• Manage inventory and allocation of materials, equipment and resources to ensure efficient project progression

• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding site progress, challenges and solutions

• Maintain accurate site records, daily logs and documentation including timesheets, material records and progress reports

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any on-site issues promptly

• Enforce compliance with company policies, local building codes and health and safety regulations

• Report any incidents, near-misses or accidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role in the construction industry

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate teams and maintain project timelines and budgets

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce

• Proficiency in using construction management software such as autocad and basic computer skills

• Physical ability to work on construction sites and willingness to work in varying weather conditions

• Valid driving licence and own transportation preferred
