Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Experience in construction/development projects is preferred.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Knowledge of BQ, costing, tendering, claims and VO.
- Good communication, negotiation and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural and M&E drawings and specifications.
- Perform quantity take-off and prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ).
- Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and cost reports.
- Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractors'/suppliers' quotations.
- Source and negotiate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure they are within budget.
- Review and verify progress claims and payments.
- Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO).
- Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
- Assist in value engineering and cost-saving exercises.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Attend site and project meetings when required.
- Handle contract documentation and final accounts.
