To support our growing production operations, we are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented Baker Assistant to join our central kitchen team. The role will support the baking team in daily cake and cookie production, preparation, packing, cleaning, and overall kitchen operations.

Position Summary

The Baker Assistant supports the baking team in the daily preparation and production of Fusion’s butter cakes and other bakery products.

The role is responsible for assisting with ingredient preparation, baking processes, product handling, quality checking, packing, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized production environment.

The successful candidate should be willing to learn, follow SOPs carefully, and work as part of a team to ensure products are produced consistently and according to Fusion’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily cake and bakery production
• Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and SOPs
• Assist with mixing, weighing, portioning, moulding, baking, and unmoulding
• Assist in preparing cake boxes, containers, and packaging materials
• Check products for appearance, texture, weight, and overall quality
• Follow production schedules and ensure products are completed on time
• Handle cakes and bakery products carefully to prevent damage
• Assist with labelling, arranging, and storing finished products
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the baking and production areas
• Wash and clean baking equipment, trays, tools, and work areas
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs at all times
• Assist with stock arrangement and basic inventory checking
• Report any product defects, equipment issues, or production problems to the supervisor
• Support other kitchen and operational tasks when required
• Be willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities as skills improve

Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification
• No prior baking experience required; training will be provided
• Previous bakery, kitchen, food production, or manufacturing experience is an advantage
• Passionate about baking and willing to learn
• Responsible, punctual, and hardworking
• Good attitude and able to work well with a team
• Able to follow instructions, recipes, and SOPs accurately
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift and carry baking ingredients, trays, and boxes when required
• Good hygiene and cleanliness awareness
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain consistent product quality
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required
