Job Description
- Lead tax compliance, tax planning, and tax strategy initiatives, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations while optimising the organisation's overall tax position and managing tax-related risks.
- Lead the group reporting and consolidation process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting across all business units and legal entities within the group.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's short- and long-term business objectives, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring accurate financial projections and effective resource allocation across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements, maintaining robust internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities to optimise liquidity, support business operations, and strengthen overall financial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team by creating a high-performance culture, enhancing technical capabilities, and supporting ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to align financial goals with business activities, enabling informed decision-making and improved performance outcomes.
A Suitable Financial Controller Will Have
- A Professional Accounting Qualification.
- Experience leading & developing teams.
- Experience with Tax Planning / Tax Strategy.
- Experience with Group Consolidation / Group Accounting.
- Annual salary between MYR 240,000 and MYR 360,000.
- Work under a passionate, driven and experience leader who prioritises professional development.
- Opportunities to take on additional functions in the future outside of Finance.
- Take the lead on transformation initiatives that can genuinely make a difference to the business.
