Job Summary
We are looking for an Automation Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and improve software automation solutions for engineering and manufacturing processes. The role involves developing automation scripts and applications, integrating software with equipment and systems, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain automation software and applications.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and test scripts.
- Troubleshoot and debug software, automation, and system integration issues.
- Analyze process requirements and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Work with hardware, test, manufacturing, and process engineers to implement automation solutions.
- Perform software testing, validation, and system integration.
- Maintain technical documentation, software specifications, and test procedures.
- Monitor automation performance and implement improvements to reliability and efficiency.
- Support production and engineering teams in resolving automation-related issues.
- Follow software development standards, version control, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software development, automation, or test engineering is preferred.
- Good programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, C#, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of software development and debugging methodologies.
- Experience with automation frameworks, APIs, databases, or system integration is an advantage.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
