ABOUT THE ROLES

JVCKENWOOD Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is looking for passionate and motivated students to join our internship programme and gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic Electrical & Electronics manufacturing environment. Our interns will be assigned to a department that best aligns their academic qualifications and skill set.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities vary by department assignment:

Purchasing (Supply Chain):

• Request quotation from suppliers and tabulate the costing comparison

• Negotiate material price or cost down activity

• Assist in the selection and developing alternative sources of material

• Participate in assessment of suppliers

• Assist in managing on time delivery

Planning (Supply Chain):

• Monitor production and shipment progress

• Assist on export shipment matters, planning and deliveries of shipment

• Monitor and follow up on daily shipment activities

• Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange booking containers and sailing schedule

HRA (Maintenance/Facility):

• Assist in managing building maintenance

• Assist in repairing and troubleshooting machinery and electrical breakdown

• Assist in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Cooling System and other soft service works

• Ensure the building meets all the safety regulations and the running

• Ensure administration of the basic facilities meets the national and local laws and safety requirements

Finance/Accounting:

• Assist with research, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records

• Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible

• Help in the reconciliation of account receivables and payables, banks, bill payments or inventories

• Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients

• Help with the forecasting and budgeting to manage expenses

Final Assembly (Production):

• Support production line change model activities, including line setup, jig preparation, troubleshooting, and breakdown monitoring to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime

• Support product quality verification, repairing activities, and troubleshooting to ensure products meet specifications and shipment requirements

• Assist in technical analysis, production improvement activities, and record maintenance

Surface Mount Technology (Production):

• Assist in machine troubleshooting and jigs

• Study and solve machine issues, program and process in SMT

• Support production in terms of technical and process

• Monitor daily machine line balancing and process control

Engineering:

Section : Mechanical

• Assist in mechanical system, product, jig, and fixture design/testing

• Support documentation, maintenance, data analysis, and troubleshooting

Section : Software

• Assist in production software development, modification, and troubleshooting

• Support design changes and new model implementation from trial to mass production

Section : Product

• Assist in production manual updates, line efficiency, and process improvement

• Support technical problem-solving, design changes, and new model implementation

REQUIREMENTS

1. Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in relevant academic background.

2. Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

3. Have basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

4. Strong motivation to learn, be proactive, and detail-oriented.

5. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

6. Malaysian citizens and must be willing to work in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.
