We are seeking an experienced Technician or Engineer to maintain, diagnose and repair industrial machinery, particularly machines operating on 415 V three-phase power, with inverter drives and PLC control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic and control system faults.
- Troubleshoot three-phase motors, inverter drives (VFDs), sensors, relays, contactors and associated wiring.
- Troubleshoot, modify and program Omron PLCs, including checking inputs, outputs, program logic and communication faults.
- Identify whether machine faults originate from PLC hardware, programming, control boards or connected components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Test repaired machinery, confirm safe operation and document maintenance work, faults and corrective actions.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, including isolation and lockout/tagout requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Practical experience in industrial machine maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with 415 V three-phase machinery and inverter-controlled motors.
- Hands-on experience in Omron PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose faults in PLC systems, machine control boards and electrical control circuits.
- Competence in using electrical diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to work independently and systematically identify the root cause of machine breakdowns.
- Relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Desirable Skills
- Electronic circuit board diagnosis and component-level repair.
- Ability to use an oscilloscope, identify defective electronic components, and carry out soldering and component replacement.
- Experience with HMIs, industrial communication networks and other PLC brands.
