Role Description The Business Office Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at Kensington Green Specialist Center in Iskandar Puteri. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day business office operations, including patient registration, billing, payment processing, and maintenance of accurate financial and administrative records. The Business Office Officer coordinates with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow, clear communication on charges, and timely resolution of billing inquiries. Daily tasks include handling front-line customer service at the business office, responding to phone and in-person queries, verifying insurance or payment details, and preparing reports as needed. The role also supports compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations, contributes to process improvements, and maintains a professional and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills to manage billing data, reconcile accounts, and support reporting and decision-making.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, including written and verbal communication for interaction with patients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Customer service abilities to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Business knowledge relevant to hospital operations, including basic accounting concepts, administrative processes, and office procedures.
  • Interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and engage sensitively with diverse patient populations.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office) and hospital information systems or practice management systems.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related field is preferred; relevant experience in a healthcare or customer-facing environment is an advantage.
