Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsible

  • Design basic electrical control panels incorporating PLC systems.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) based on SLD and system architecture.
  • Prepare and submit electrical/control panel drawings as required.
  • Develop and modify PLC application programs.
  • Configure, program, test and commission PLC control panels.
  • Prepare Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Logic Flow Diagrams, test procedures and other technical documents.
  • Interface PLC systems with VFDs, BMS, SCADA, HMI and other equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting of control panels at factory and project sites.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, system integrators and third-party contractors on technical matters and system implementation.
  • Conduct site testing and commissioning (T&C).
  • Support system modifications, upgrades and new implementations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical control, PLC, automation or control panel systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience in control panel troubleshooting.
  • Able to select and size PLC configurations, including Remote I/O, based on project requirements and I/O points.
  • Hands-on knowledge of RS232, RS485 and TCP/IP communication protocols.
  • Experience programming PLC systems using Ladder Logic / Statement List.
  • Omron – CX-Programmer / Sysmac Studio
  • Allen-Bradley – Studio 5000
  • Siemens – SIMATIC Manager / TIA Portal / Step 7 MicroWIN SMART / PCS7
  • Schneider – EcoStruxure Control Expert
  • Experience interfacing and commissioning VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
  • Experience interfacing PLC systems with BMS / SCADA / HMI / PC-based systems.
  • Able to prepare FDS, Logic Flow Diagrams and test procedures.
  • Able to carry out testing and commissioning of PLC panels.
  • Able to coordinate with system integrators and third-party contractors.
  • Willing and able to perform site testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • HMI graphics development experience using systems such as Wonderware, Siemens, Schneider or Allen-Bradley will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD / EPLAN is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of P&ID and process flow drawings.
  • Experience handling multiple projects / sites.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and respond professionally to clients, vendors and contractors.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, hands-on and able to take ownership of PLC/control panel projects from design through commissioning.

Candidates with strong practical experience in PLC programming, control panel troubleshooting, VFD integration and site commissioning are encouraged to apply.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
