Full Time Safety - Health Officer Jobs, Salary up to MYR 12,000 in IAQ Energy Facility Management Sdn. Bhd. Pulau Pinang - Maukerja

Responsibilities: -

• Responsible for advising person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the persons employed in the place of work.
• Inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work, can cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.
• Investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work.
• Assist Project Manager or the safety and health committee in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health program at the place of work.
• Become secretary to the safety and health committee and perform all functions of a secretary.
• Assist the safety and health committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with legal requirements.
• Collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work.
• Responsible for compliance of the Safety and Health requirements at work site by site staff, contractors and workers.
• Responsible for the registration of new projects with JKKP and organize the implementation of Safety and Health program at site.
• Assist the EHS Manager in developing and implementing safety and health policies and procedures for construction sites to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• To be involved in the development of HIRARC and its revision.
• To coordinate implementation of the project EHS Plan that assures policies, targets and standards will be met within the contractual frame of the project.
• To create an effective and efficient communication system with other disciplines as a purpose of maintaining EHS quality.
• To organize and conduct talk, campaign, briefing and training to promote awareness of hazard in workplace.
• To prepare and control project EHS budget & expenses.
• To generate reports for clients, consultants, authorities, internal management, EHS department and other related interested parties.
• To lead, train and evaluate site safety supervisors, safety supervisors and EHS staff that is directly reporting to you.
• To inform and update the Management on the latest Safety and Health regulations.
• Liaison and coordinate with authorities’ officer that comes to perform his duty
• Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site.
• Undertake special assignment, ad hoc functions and related duties as assigned.

Requirements: -

• Professional Qualification in OSH or equivalent.
• At least 5 years working experience in the construction industry.
• Must be a Green Book holder.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding in the EHS aspects of construction industry.
• High level of integrity drives and result oriented.
• Able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and station at project site (Bayan Lepas).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
