Role Description The Front Office Assistant (Finance) is a full-time, on-site role based at Columbia Asia Hospital in Tebrau. This role is responsible for managing patient registration, appointment scheduling, and front desk inquiries while ensuring accurate financial and billing processes. Day-to-day tasks include handling telephone calls with professional phone etiquette, guiding patients through admission and discharge procedures, processing payments, and maintaining up-to-date records in hospital systems. The Front Office Assistant (Finance) will work closely with clinical and finance teams to support smooth operations, resolve patient billing queries, and uphold service standards aligned with the hospital’s values. This position requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality in handling patient information, and a welcoming, customer-focused approach.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle patient inquiries, and provide courteous front-line service.
  • Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette and Appointment Scheduling skills to manage calls, book and adjust appointments, and coordinate patient flow efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills to handle documentation, data entry, filing, and maintenance of accurate patient and billing records.
  • Candidates should possess basic financial awareness, including experience with billing, payment processing, and reconciliation in a healthcare or customer-service environment.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Prior experience in hospital front office, clinic reception, or customer service roles is preferred, along with proficiency in computer systems and office software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a customer-first mindset.
