HR MANAGER

Location: Bukit Kapar, Selangor

Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to oversee the company’s human resources operations while supporting management in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

70% Operational HR

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters and staff engagement.
• Manage manpower planning and recruitment activities to ensure timely fulfilment of business requirements.
• Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, HR documentation and personnel files.
• Monitor attendance, leave, overtime and other employee-related matters.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary cases and workplace issues in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
• Coordinate payroll-related matters and ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll information.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
• Support training, development and performance management initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports, analysis and manpower-related reports for management review.

30% Strategic HR

• Work closely with Management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business direction.
• Provide HR insights and recommendations on manpower planning, organisational structure and workforce development.
• Support succession planning, talent management and employee retention initiatives.
• Identify HR trends, workforce issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Review and improve HR policies, processes and practices to support business growth.
• Advise Management on people-related matters and organisational development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with experience in a managerial or senior HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR operations.
• Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple HR matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Candidates who are hands-on, proactive and commercially aware are encouraged to apply.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an HR professional who can manage the day-to-day HR operations while also contributing at a strategic level. The successful candidate should be comfortable working closely with Management, handling operational HR matters independently and driving improvements to HR processes and practices.
