JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory & Compliance

• Assist in ensuring products comply with applicable Malaysian food regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in reviewing product formulations and ingredients for regulatory compliance.
• Assist in checking ingredient specifications, technical documents, COA, MSDS and other supporting documents.
• Assist in reviewing product claims, product descriptions and marketing materials.
• Assist in checking product labels, packaging artwork and Nutrition Information Panel (NIP) requirements.
• Assist in maintaining regulatory databases and product regulatory information.
• Assist in preparing and updating regulatory documentation for new and existing products.

Product Registration & Submission

• Assist in preparing documents and information required for product classification, registration and regulatory submissions.
• Assist in compiling documents for NPRA, MOH, JAKIM Halal and other relevant authorities where applicable.
• Assist in following up on regulatory submissions, applications and approval status.
• Maintain proper records of regulatory submissions, approvals, certificates and correspondence.

Label & Artwork Review

• Assist in reviewing product labels and packaging artwork before printing.
• Check mandatory information such as:
• Product name
• Ingredient declaration
• Nutrition Information Panel (NIP)
• Allergen declaration
• Net weight/volume
• Manufacturer information
• Storage instructions
• Batch/expiry information
• Required logos and statements
• Assist in ensuring approved artwork is consistent with regulatory requirements and product specifications.

Halal & Certification

• Assist in maintaining documentation related to Halal certification, GMP, HACCP and other certification requirements.
• Assist in checking raw material and supplier documents required for Halal and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparing documents for audits and certification renewals.

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain and organize regulatory documents and product technical files.
• Update regulatory trackers and databases.
• Assist in preparing regulatory reports, checklists and compliance records.
• Ensure documents are properly filed and updated.
• Assist in monitoring changes to regulatory requirements that may affect company products.

Cross-Department Support

• Work closely with R&D, QA/QC, Production, Purchasing, Sales and Marketing teams on regulatory matters.
• Assist R&D in checking the regulatory suitability of new ingredients and product formulations.
• Assist in reviewing customer regulatory questionnaires and documentation requests.
• Perform other regulatory-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/Degree student in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science, Regulatory Affairs or related fields.
• Minimum 6 months internship commitment.
• Good understanding of food ingredients and basic food science principles.
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Responsible, organized, analytical and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with different departments.
• Knowledge of Malaysia Food Act 1983, Food Regulations 1985, NPRA or Halal requirements is an advantage.

Pay: RM1,000.00 per month
