About the Opportunity

On behalf of our client, an established property development and construction company, RIHGA is currently seeking a Site Engineer to support its construction and development projects in Miri, Sarawak.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, coordinating site operations and ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
• Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, subcontractors and consultants.
• Provide technical advice and resolve engineering or site-related issues when required.
• Inspect workmanship, materials and ongoing construction works to ensure required quality standards are met.
• Ensure proper implementation of site safety requirements and procedures.
• Monitor the use of construction materials, equipment and manpower on site.
• Assist in planning and coordinating site activities to avoid delays and disruptions.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate follow-up actions with relevant parties.
• Maintain proper site records, progress updates and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, construction standards and relevant requirements.
• Perform other project or site-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site operations and project coordination.
• Experience in project management and site supervision.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently in a site environment.
• Willing to be based in Miri, Sarawak.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
