The role is responsible for leading JPG’s Business Intelligence function by transforming data, market intelligence, and financial analysis into actionable insights that support senior leadership, strategic planning, investment decisions, and overall business performance.

Requirement:

• Educational Requirement – Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• Additional Qualifications – Master's degree, MBA, CFA/CVA qualifications, or Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) certification are considered an advantage.
• Relevant Experience – Minimum 7 years (Manager) or 5 years (Deputy Manager) of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategic planning, market intelligence, investment research, consulting, or corporate finance.
• Leadership Exposure – Experience supporting senior management decision-making, managing enterprise dashboards, and leading analytical projects or teams.
• Advanced Data & BI Skills – Strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, data modelling, advanced Excel, SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Analytical & Financial Expertise – Capable of KPI design, data validation, root-cause analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, scenario analysis, and financial/investment analysis.
• Research & AI Utilisation – Skilled in multi-source research, evidence evaluation, and the effective use of AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, and Perplexity in accordance with company policies.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management – Excellent report writing, data storytelling, presentation skills, and the ability to influence senior decision-makers through clear recommendations.
• Critical Thinking & Professional Judgment – Able to assess incomplete or conflicting information, challenge assumptions constructively, maintain confidentiality, and make sound business decisions.
• Work Environment & Mobility – Primarily office-based with screen-intensive work, requiring occasional travel to operational sites and attendance at meetings outside normal working hours when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Business Intelligence Function – Manage JPG’s Business Intelligence Unit and provide independent, evidence-based decision support and strategic insights to leadership.
• Govern Leadership Intelligence Platforms – Oversee the Leadership dashboard, Viva Engage channel, data ownership, data quality, access controls, and platform governance.
• Validate Business Assumptions & Forecasts – Independently assess forecasts, performance explanations, targets, and scenarios using data analysis and sensitivity testing.
• Monitor External Market Intelligence – Track economic, regulatory, industry, competitor, and market developments to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging issues.
• Support Strategic Planning – Prepare market and commodity outlooks, review business assumptions, and support quarterly and long-term strategic planning exercises.
• Perform Financial & Scenario Analysis – Develop and maintain financial models, evaluate the impact of key business variables, and provide recommendations for leadership decision-making.
• Provide Commercial & Investment Intelligence – Conduct research on markets, products, pricing, competition, and commercial risks to support investment proposals and business initiatives.
• Deliver Executive-Level Insights – Produce reports, dashboards, presentations, and decision papers for the Managing Director, Management Committee, and Board of Directors.
• Ensure Data Quality & AI Governance – Maintain reliable data sources, resolve data issues, govern the responsible use of AI tools, and ensure transparency, reproducibility, and confidentiality.
• Lead Team Development & Stakeholder Support – Coach BI team members, establish analytical standards and processes, manage requests from business units, and handle urgent leadership assignments and board-related matters.
