Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated Process Quality Engineer (PQE) to join our Quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our optical lens products throughout the manufacturing process. You will play a critical role in driving yield improvement, resolving quality issues, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Job Summary:
Location: Senai, Johor
Salary: Basic up to RM7,000 + AWS
Working Hours: 5 days per week
Job Responsibilities:
Process Quality Monitoring – Monitor real-time production yield, promptly identify abnormalities, implement containment actions, and drive root cause closure to minimize production impact.
Yield Improvement – Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product visual yield and process capability by analyzing quality data and collaborating with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams.
Customer Quality Assurance – Ensure only qualified products are shipped, investigate customer complaints with 8D reports and corrective action plans, and maintain strong communication on quality standards and inspection criteria.
NPI & Quality Planning – Participate in new product introductions and project transfers to define quality control plans, CTQ parameters, and process inspection standards for mass production.
Documentation & System Compliance – Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 QMS, and draft/review quality documentation including Control Plans, FMEA, and SOPs.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Optoelectronic, Material Science, or related field).
Minimum 3–5 years working experience in Process Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar role in manufacturing. Experience in optical lens, camera module, or precision electronics industry is highly preferred.
Proficient in quality tools: SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, and APQP. Strong data analysis and report-writing capabilities. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) is preferred.
Familiar with lens manufacturing processes, product functionality, product visual standard and reliability testing. Knowledge of module assembly and end-product (e.g., smartphone) application scenarios is a strong advantage.
