We're Hiring: Payroll Officer / Payroll Executive


Location: Johor Bahru

Industry: Manufacturing


We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented payroll professional to join our HR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, statutory compliance and payroll administration while supporting continuous improvement of payroll processes.


The position offered (Officer or Executive) will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills and demonstrated competency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for employees across various work schedules, including shift operations.
  • Prepare and submit statutory contributions and reports, including PCB, CP8D, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PTPTN, Tabung, Haji, HRDF, ASB and CP21.
  • Administer expatriate payroll, tax-related documentation and statutory compliance where applicable.
  • Verify payroll data, attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions and leave records.
  • Maintain payroll records, employee master data and payroll documentation.
  • Respond to payroll-related enquiries and provide support to employees and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in payroll reconciliation, month-end closing and audit requirements.
  • Support payroll policy reviews, process improvements and payroll system enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955 and other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Perform other payroll and HR-related duties as assigned.



Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in payroll administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian payroll practices and statutory requirements.
  • Experience handling statutory submissions such as PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF and CP8D.
  • Experience with expatriate payroll and tax administration is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with FlexHR or other payroll systems is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
  • Responsible, analytical and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
