Full Time Clerk of Work (M-E, C-S and Architectural) Jobs, Salary up to MYR 8,000 in CTC DEVELOPMENT MALAYSIA SDN BHD Johor - Maukerja

1. Clerk of Works (M&E)

Scope: Electrical, ACMV, plumbing and sanitary, fire protection, ELV/security and lifts.

• Inspect conduit, trunking, cable tray, cabling, switchboards, earthing and lightning protection against drawings.
• Check ductwork, chilled water or refrigerant piping, insulation, equipment installation and the building management system (BMS).
• Check pipework, tanks, pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels and fire alarm installation, including pressure tests.
• Coordinate with the builder's work contractor on sleeves, openings and builder's work.
• Witness insulation resistance, pressure, flow, air balancing and fire system tests, and commissioning.
• Follow up on authority submissions and approvals (TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, BOMBA, water authority).
• Check that equipment and materials match approved brands and models.

Specific requirements: Knowledge of MS IEC 60364 or equivalent, UBBL fire requirements and ACMV/plumbing standards. Registration or training related to electrical work is an advantage.

2. Clerk of Works (C&S)

Scope: Piling, earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete structure and steelwork.

• Check setting out, levels, piling records and ground conditions against the structural drawings.
• Inspect formwork, reinforcement (bar size, spacing, cover, laps) and embedded items before every concrete pour, and sign off before pouring.
• Supervise concreting: delivery tickets, slump tests, cube sampling, placing, compaction and curing.
• Check stripping times, back-propping and the finished concrete for defects such as honeycombing and cracks.
• Check structural steel members, welding and bolted connections where applicable.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering and temporary works for safety.
• Keep cube test, pour and rebar inspection records.

Specific requirements: Knowledge of reinforced concrete practice, Eurocode-based Malaysian Standards and concrete testing. Experience on high-rise or piled projects is an advantage.

3. Clerk of Works (Architectural)

Scope: Brickwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishes, doors and windows, ceilings, roofing and external works.

• Check wall setting out, brickwork, plastering, screeds and tiling for line, level, plumb and flatness.
• Inspect waterproofing (roof, wet areas, basement) and witness ponding tests.
• Check doors, windows, glazing, curtain wall, ironmongery, ceilings, paintwork, joinery and roofing against drawings and approved samples.
• Review mock-ups and sample boards, and make sure the approved standard is followed.
• Check finishes and workmanship against QLASSIC standards, and maintain the defect list through to handover.
• Coordinate with C&S and M&E trades on openings, fixings and finishing sequence.

Specific requirements: Knowledge of finishing details, waterproofing methods and QLASSIC.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
