About the Role

As Site Leader, Malaysia Manufacturing (HMTM), you will have overall responsibility for site performance, leading both strategy and execution to achieve sustainable business growth and operational excellence.

Reporting as the senior leader on site, you will oversee Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), while partnering closely with Finance, Human Resources, Quality and other key functions. You will be empowered to drive transformational change, strengthen organizational capability and accelerate the site's journey toward becoming a digitally enabled, smart manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Site Leadership

• Provide visible, authentic leadership across the site with overall accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP) performance.
• Develop and execute a compelling site strategy aligned with Heraeus' global business objectives and growth ambitions.
• Lead the site's financial performance, ensuring achievement of productivity, profitability and operational targets.
• Create and sustain a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, operational discipline and customer focus.
• Serve as the primary site representative for senior regional and global stakeholders.

Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation

• Lead the next phase of the site's transformation journey through Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence programmes.
• Accelerate the adoption of digital manufacturing technologies, automation, advanced analytics and Industry 4.0 capabilities.
• Drive meaningful improvements in safety, quality, productivity, delivery performance and cost competitiveness.
• Implement strong governance, visual management and performance management systems to support execution excellence.
• Champion innovation and change management initiatives, ensuring strong employee engagement throughout the transformation journey.

Manufacturing, Engineering & Supply Chain Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and EHS functions.
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, engaging with teams through regular Gemba walks, coaching and problem-solving activities.
• Improve operational effectiveness through enhanced equipment performance, reduced waste, increased throughput and process optimisation.
• Lead capacity planning, manufacturing technology strategies and capital investment programmes to support growth and future capability.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to consistently exceed customer expectations.

People & Culture

• Build, develop and inspire a highly engaged leadership team capable of delivering outstanding business results.
• Drive succession planning, leadership development and talent management initiatives to strengthen organisational capability.

What You'll Bring

Experience

You are an accomplished manufacturing executive with a proven track record of leading large-scale operations and delivering sustained business results.

You will bring:

• Significant senior leadership experience within manufacturing, operations or engineering environments.
• Demonstrated success leading manufacturing transformation, operational excellence programmes or business turnaround initiatives.
• Strong experience improving safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity outcomes within complex manufacturing organisations.
• A track record of building high-performing teams and leading successful culture change programmes.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including P&L ownership, capital investment planning and cost optimisation.
• Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Experience in medical devices, life sciences, aerospace or similar industries will be highly regarded.
• Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation and digital manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma and other operational excellence certifications are advantageous.
