About the Role

We are a growing consumer electronics company looking for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to join our team full-time.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting challenging device faults, and working with a wide variety of consumer electronics.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing and refurbishing devices such as:

• Smartphones
• Laptops
• Tablets
• Gaming consoles
• Handheld gaming devices
• Other consumer electronics

We are looking for someone with genuine hands-on repair experience who can diagnose problems independently rather than simply replacing parts based on instructions.

Formal qualifications are not essential. If you have strong practical repair skills and can demonstrate your ability, we encourage you to apply.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose hardware faults and determine the root cause of device problems
• Repair smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles and other electronic devices
• Perform soldering and micro-soldering where required
• Carry out motherboard and PCB-level repairs
• Replace charging ports, USB-C ports, connectors, buttons, screens, batteries, flex cables and other components
• Replace or rework small electronic components
• Repair damaged solder joints, PCB pads, connectors and traces
• Troubleshoot devices that do not power on, charge, display correctly or operate normally
• Diagnose short circuits and motherboard-related faults
• Perform software troubleshooting, installation, configuration and device setup
• Refurbish used electronic devices to ensure they meet our quality standards
• Test repaired devices thoroughly before completion
• Determine whether a device is economically repairable and recommend the appropriate solution
• Maintain proper handling and organisation of repair devices, components and tools

What We Are Looking For

You should already have practical experience repairing electronic devices.

Ideally, you have:

• At least 1 year of hands-on electronics or device repair experience
• Experience repairing phones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles or similar electronics
• Good soldering skills
• Experience with micro-soldering, motherboard repair or PCB-level troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose faults instead of only replacing parts
• Good understanding of electronic components and PCBs
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems
• Good attention to detail
• Responsible handling of valuable electronic devices
• Willingness to learn and improve your repair skills
• Ability to communicate in English or Bahasa Malaysia
• Own transport and ability to travel reliably to our workplace in Rawang
• Answer "Fully understood" to the question "Have you understood the job description?"

Experience using the following equipment is highly valued:

• Soldering iron
• Hot air rework station
• Multimeter
• Microscope
• DC power supply
• Other electronic diagnostic and repair tools

You Are Especially Encouraged to Apply If You Have Experience With

• Phone motherboard repair
• Laptop motherboard repair
• Gaming console repair
• Nintendo Switch or handheld console repair
• Charging port and USB-C repair
• HDMI port repair
• Short-circuit diagnosis
• IC and small-component replacement
• PCB trace and pad repair
• Micro-soldering
• Device refurbishment

Advanced BGA, IC or chip-level repair experience is a strong advantage, but it is not compulsory.
