Job Overview
We are hiring a hands-on Regional HR Leader to manage group HR operations across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and China. You will collaborate with senior management to implement HR strategies, drive performance management, support organizational development initiatives, and improve employee engagement across all markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition (Primally Task)
- Lead end-to-end regional recruitment strategies for key functions (Business Development, Trading, Finance, Operations and Technical).
- Source high-calibre candidates via LinkedIn, professional networks, direct sourcing and management of executive search agencies.
- Conduct competency-based interviews, advise hiring managers and manage recruitment KPIs (time-to-hire, quality-of-hire).
- Drive employer branding initiatives to build a strong long-term talent pipeline.
2. Organization Development
- Partner with department heads to identify organizational capability gaps and workforce planning needs.
- Establish HR policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Develop and drive performance management systems, KPIs and appraisal processes.
- Build succession plans and leadership capabilities to develop a strong second layer of management.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to break down operational silos.
3. Employee Relations’s Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Employment Act and relevant regional labour regulations.
- Advise management on HR compliance, handle disciplinary cases, grievances and domestic inquiries in accordance with employment law.
- Drive engagement and retention initiatives to build a positive work environment.
4. Strategic Compensation’s Advisory
- Benchmark and recommend competitive compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain key talent.
- Support Management as a strategic HR partner in developing talent strategies aligned with the Company's business growth objectives.
- Any additional tasks assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field with minimum 8 years of HR experience (Must include 5 years in a senior HR leadership role).
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Labour Law; experience with Singapore or other ASEAN employment regulations is a strong plus.
- Proven track record in recruiting technical, specialist and commercial or business development talent, ideally within Manufacturing, Commodities or Recycling industries.
- Hands-on leader with strong business acumen, high proactiveness and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Must be willing to travel across JB/KL, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and China to oversee regional HR operations.
Pay: RM13,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
