The Spa Manager oversees the daily operations of the Spa Department, ensuring high service standards, guest satisfaction, team performance, revenue generation and cost control. The role covers people management, training, scheduling, treatment quality, hygiene and safety, inventory, compliance and continuous improvement of the overall spa experience.
Overall Spa Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of the Spa, ensuring smooth workflow, adequate manpower, cleanliness, safety and compliance with SOPs and service standards.
- Monitor appointments, scheduling, therapist utilisation and operational issues to ensure efficient service delivery.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and personalised experiences.
- Proactively manage guest feedback, complaints and service recovery, ensuring concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback.
People Management & Development
- Lead, coach and motivate the Spa team to achieve service and operational standards.
- Manage recruitment, rostering, performance appraisal, attendance, discipline and employee development.
- Build a positive, accountable and service-oriented team culture.
Training & Quality Standards
- Ensure all treatments and services are performed according to the Breeze Spa Training Manual, SOPs and required quality standards.
- Implement the Annual Training Plan and conduct ongoing technical, product knowledge and service training.
- Identify performance gaps and provide appropriate coaching and corrective action.
Revenue & Productivity
- Drive Spa revenue and productivity through effective appointment scheduling, yield management, therapist utilisation, upselling and promotion of Spa services and products.
- Monitor business performance and adjust manpower and booking strategies according to hotel occupancy and demand.
Safety, Hygiene & Facility Standards
- Ensure the Spa maintains high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, grooming, safety and facility presentation.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to address maintenance, cleanliness and facility issues promptly.
Administration & Business Coordination
- Monitor departmental reports, manpower requirements, guest history, daily activities and operational performance.
- Work closely with the Executive Assistant Manager and other hotel departments to align Spa operations with hotel occupancy, group bookings and overall business requirements.
