Full Time R-D Executive - Senior Executive (Food Manufacturing) Jobs, in Desa Southern Food Products Johor - Maukerja

Develop new products and improve existing products, including preserved fruits, nuts, flavoured nuts and snack products.

Plan and conduct product formulation, experiments, trials and sensory evaluations.

Evaluate product formulations based on quality, ingredient availability, cost, Halal requirements and regulatory compliance.

Manage and monitor NPD projects from concept to commercialization.

Coordinate with Production/Packing teams on product trials and first production runs.

Ensure product formulations are practical, scalable and consistent for factory production.

Identify manufacturing challenges and recommend improvements to formulations or processes.

Work with Purchasing to source and evaluate new ingredients, raw materials and alternative suppliers.

Monitor market trends and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for new products, flavours and product improvements.

Maintain product documentation, including formulations, recipe cards, development reports and product specifications.

Ensure products comply with Malaysian and/or export food regulations, Halal requirements and company food safety standards.

Review packaging artwork for ingredient declarations, nutrition information, product claims and labelling compliance.

Monitor project timelines, NPD progress and departmental KPIs.

Support continuous improvement of R&D procedures, documentation and development processes.

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Nutrition Science or related field.

Relevant experience in food manufacturing and/or food product development.

Experience in snacks, nuts, dried/preserved fruits or related food products is an added advantage.

Hands-on experience in food formulation, product trials and commercialization.

Good understanding of food labelling, regulatory and Halal requirements.

Good understanding of food manufacturing processes and factory-scale production.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Practical, hands-on and detail-oriented.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Able to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple development projects.
