As Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a media manufacturing production line. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12 hour AWS Shift and overtime, as required by the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Conduct basic inspections and maintenance checks on production equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Assist senior technicians in equipment troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, electrical, and control system issues under supervision.
  • Document PM activities, maintenance findings, and equipment issues in the maintenance management system.
  • Support equipment recovery during equipment downtime or production interruptions.
  • Assist engineers and senior technicians during machine upgrades, conversion activities, and improvement projects.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with cleanroom and safety procedures.
  • Escalate abnormal equipment conditions to senior technicians, supervisors, or engineers.
  • Participate in technical training and skill development programs to improve equipment maintenance capability.

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing or equipment maintenance environment.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant technical education are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work in 12-hour AWS shift environment and support overtime when required.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in a sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of high-vacuum technology, plasma processes, or thin-film deposition systems.

SKILLS:

  • Basic knowledge of vacuum systems or manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ability to follow maintenance procedures and work instructions.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures and cleanroom discipline.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical competency.
