We are looking for a rigorous, safety-driven Electrical Commissioning (Cx) Engineer to join our growing team.

About the Role

You will be the technical anchor responsible for the inspection, functional testing, and safe energization of large-scale data centre power networks. Managing the process from Level 1 (FAT) through to Level 5 (Integrated Systems Testing / IST), you will ensure 100% operational uptime, safety compliance, and alignment with hyperscale engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing & System Verification: Lead physical inspections, loop checks, and testing sequences for MV/LV Switchgear, Power Transformers, UPS Systems, Static Transfer Switches (STS), and High-Capacity Diesel Generators.
• Integrated Systems Testing (IST): Plan, script, and execute comprehensive site load-bank testing, blackouts, and complex failure-mode simulations.
• Documentation & Procedures: Review, execute, and sign off on Commissioning Scripts, Method Statements, and Method of Procedures (MOPs).
• Electrical Safety & LOTO: Enforce rigid Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, arc-flash boundaries, and high-voltage/low-voltage (HV/LV) switching programs.
• Defect & Punch-List Tracking: Document, track, and resolve electrical defects by coordinating closely with major OEMs, contractors, and client engineering teams.

Job Requirements

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on testing and commissioning experience, explicitly within Data Centres, semiconductor plants, or equivalent mission-critical environments.

Technical & Brand Competency:

• Direct experience with major industry OEM equipment
• Knowledge of protection-relay testing and MV/LV switchgear commissioning.
• Deep understanding of data centre power topologies (N+1, 2N) and control systems (BMS/EPMS).
• Preferred & Value-Add Credentials (High Advantage)
• Commissioning Certifications
• Data Centre Standards
• Malaysian Statutory Compliance: A valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) competency .
• Safety Certifications: Formal training in LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and site safety management.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
