About the Role

Responsible for implementing and maintaining Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, identifying process safety risks and ensuring compliance with applicable HSE and process safety standards to prevent major incidents

Responsibilities

• Lead Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Quantitative Risk Assessments for Dialog Terminals Langsat and Dialog Terminals Pengerang.
• Lead Process Safety related incident investigation, determine root causes of process incidents, near-misses, or failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Involved in final PSSR process before introducing hazardous chemicals into a new or modified process.
• Perform PSM audit related to mechanical integrity, inspection, and preventative maintenance of critical safety equipment and pressure vessels.
• Review MOC, modifications to equipment, processes, or chemicals to ensure new hazards aren't introduced.
• Serve as the designated Fire Safety Manager, overseeing fire protection system maintenance and testing.
• Act as the primary contact for BOMBA to secure and renew Fire Certificates.
• Ensure facility compliance with OPEX PSM Standard and local DOSH/BOMBA regulations.
• Update the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and lead the onsite Emergency Response Team (ERT) exercise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Safety Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Process Safety / HSE preferably in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, chemical or manufacturing industries.
• Good knowledge of PSM, HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, MOC and PSSR.
• Familiarity with relevant process safety standards such as OSHA PSM, IEC 61511/61508 and API standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional certification in process safety/HSE is an added advantage.
