Full Time Account Executive Jobs, in Inter Island Group Johor - Maukerja

What You'll Be Doing

• Handle general and financial accounting activities, including month-end and quarter-end closing.
• Prepare accruals, accounting journals, supporting schedules and other closing-related documentation.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances or fluctuations.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and inventory accounting activities.
• Monitor financial transactions to ensure accurate and timely recording in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure accuracy of inventory records and accounting information.
• Support corporate and statutory compliance reporting requirements.
• Assist with Malaysian tax-related matters, including Corporate Tax and Withholding Tax (WHT).
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare supporting documents when required.
• Provide accounting guidance and support to internal departments on finance-related matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Guide and support Account Officers handling AP and inventory-related functions.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in general accounting and/or financial accounting.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of month-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax and statutory requirements is an advantage.
• Experience with accounting software such as AutoCount and/or ERP systems is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in inventory accounting or Accounts Payable would be an advantage.
