ASSISTANT MANAGER – SEAFREIGHTJob Summary

Join our Seafreight team to oversee daily import and export operations by sea and land, ensuring shipments, customer service, documentation and billing are handled accurately and on time. You will also provide technical support to the Ocean team, resolve operational issues and help drive team productivity and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily Seafreight import and export shipments, including customer service, operations and billing.
• Ensure smooth shipment flow and timely completion of operational activities.
• Monitor export customer service E-Filing submissions, including FMC, ISF, AMS, ACI, AFR and ENS/ICS2, to ensure timely compliance.
• Provide technical and operational support to Export CS/OS teams on bookings, documentation and billing.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide prompt, accurate information and solutions.
• Troubleshoot daily import/export issues and coordinate effective solutions.
• Verify Seafreight freight rates and local handling charges when required.
• Supervise team performance, work quality, productivity and discipline.
• Coach and guide team members while sharing product knowledge and operational expertise.
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions to improve service quality.
• Maintain good working relationships with customers, authorities and vendors.
• Participate in customer visits, training, projects and other assignments as required.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Seafreight / Ocean Freight operations, preferably with supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Seafreight import/export operations, documentation, customer service and billing.
• Familiarity with ocean freight E-Filing requirements such as FMC, ISF, AMS, ACI, AFR and ENS/ICS2.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
• Good leadership and people management skills.
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and operational accuracy.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and handle operational issues under pressure.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
