About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Project Engineer to support our site operations team. This role is ideal for a Civil or Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree holder who wants practical exposure to real construction, interior fit-out and custom carpentry projects rather than a purely office-based engineering role.

You will work closely with our current Site Supervisor and project team, learning how to coordinate site activities, inspect workmanship, solve technical issues, track progress and support successful project handovers.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist the Site Supervisor with daily site coordination and project follow-up.

· Conduct site inspections, measurements and progress checks.

· Read and verify technical drawings, dimensions and site conditions before installation.

· Coordinate carpentry installers, workers, subcontractors and material deliveries.

· Monitor workmanship, quality, schedule and rectification works.

· Prepare progress photos, simple site reports and issue follow-up records.

· Identify site problems early and coordinate practical solutions with the project team.

· Support project scheduling, installation planning, handover and defect rectification.

· Ensure site housekeeping, work procedures and safety requirements are followed.

· Communicate professionally with internal teams, contractors and customers when required.

Requirements

· Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Building Technology or a related technical field.

· Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; 0–2 years of site or project experience is an advantage.

· Able to understand technical drawings and basic construction details.

· Comfortable working on active project sites and handling practical site issues.

· Possess own transport and willing to travel between project locations in Penang.

· Responsible, disciplined, organised and willing to learn.

· Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

· Able to work with site workers, installers, subcontractors and project teams.
