Role Overview

We are looking for a Security Officer to support the safety and security operations of a shopping mall. The role is responsible for conducting regular patrols, monitoring designated areas, identifying potential security risks, and responding appropriately to incidents to maintain a safe and secure environment for tenants, customers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety and security checks throughout the shopping mall and surrounding areas.
• Patrol common areas, car parks, and designated locations to ensure the safety and security of customers, tenants, and staff.
• Monitor designated security checkpoints and maintain security visit books according to the daily roster.
• Take appropriate preventive measures against criminal activities, vandalism, accidents, property damage, and other security incidents.
• Report any suspicious or criminal activity, damage, accident, or incident to the Officer on Duty for further action.
• Respond promptly to security-related situations and assist in maintaining a safe environment within the mall.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Prior experience in security operations is an added advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Alert, responsible, disciplined, and able to respond promptly to security situations.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to be based in Seberang Jaya, Penang.
