Full Time Finance Manager (Financial Accounting - Reporting) Jobs, in JDA WMS Johor - Maukerja

The Finance Manager is primarily responsible for financial accounting management, reporting, and operations, incorporating treasury operations, statutory and tax compliance. The role places strong emphasis on consistent accounting processes, accurate and timely reporting, and robust compliance and internal controls, ensuring the organization's financial integrity and supporting sound business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day financial accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the general ledger and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures across the organization.
• Coordinate the annual statutory audit and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and banking relationships.
• Monitor cash positions and funding requirements, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Oversee payment processes and controls to safeguard company funds.

Statutory & Tax Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns, tax submissions, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, assessing impact on the business.

Controls & Process Improvement

• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes and systems.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Supervise, guide, and develop accounting/finance team members, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Partner with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to management for planning and reporting purposes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant / Certified Practising Accountant (CA / CPA) qualification required.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the same or an equivalent position.
• Solid experience in financial accounting, reporting, treasury operations, and statutory/tax compliance.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and applicable accounting standards.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Sound understanding of statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficient in accounting systems/ERP software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, with a strong control and compliance mindset.
